This program will instill a deep professional knowledge and understanding Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare.

As a whole, Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare involves using natural treatments and products such as vitamins, minerals, herbs, body work, and mind-body medicine.  These modalities can be integrated with traditional medicine for ultimate care.

Certification Program

The program is a six month, 200-hour certification program that provides specialized training in nine areas of Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare.

All Classes are held on Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 10:00pm with an hour dinner break from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Students may enroll in the full-term program or join in at the start of a new course.  Courses will repeat every six months so students can join a full 200 hour certification at the beginning of any module.

Certification Program Curriculum

Also known as zone therapy, reflexology is alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.
8 week/32 Hour program
Held Wednesdays 1:00pm – 5:00pm

An alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through “meridians” in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices.

Tok Sen – (Meridian work)
Tok Sen uses special wooden tools, body and sound vibrations areas throughout the meridians of the body.  This modality was developed approximately 5000 years ago in Thailand. It helps improve the flow of the body’s energy to assist with chronic issues such as stiff muscles or muscular soreness.
4 week/16 Hour program

Ear Reflexology
Ear Reflexology or Auricular Therapy is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can be applied quickly and easily in situations where foot or hand reflexology may not be suitable, or if health conditions do not permit it. The ears contain a complete reflex map of the body, with nerve endings and multiple connectors to the central nervous system. Manipulation of these area help with balancing the body.
3 week/12 Hour program

Animal Reflexology
An alternative and non-invasive therapy using reflexology points on your animal to relieve stress and blocked energy on both physical and mental areas of their body.  By stimulation of these areas it can help relieve tension which can then allow issues to dissipate.
2 week/8 Hour program

Ayurveda / Aromatherapy
The use of essential oils for the various issues that the body can develop from both an Ayurveda as well as in Traditional Aromatherapy view point.  When both practices are put together you are able to take some of the guess work/trial and error of which oils to use and how to use them.

Herbal Medicine
The Herbal (also Herbalism or Phytotherapy) is the study of and use of plants intended for medicinal purposes or for supplementing a diet. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, medicinal plants date back 60,000 years.  Modern medicine makes use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for evidence-based allopathic drugs.

The art of using whole foods to heal and sustain the body.  These foods are complete and perfect in their natural state.  They will contain a balanced amount of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Learn how to use these foods to your advantage in order to heal various diseases.
7 week/28 Hour program

Face Reading
Also known as Mien Shiang or Mien Xiang which originated 3,000 years ago in China.  TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) uses face reading to help give practitioners an idea of what    their client’s health condition.  These readings are to be used simply as possible warning signs.  In heeding the signs and by adjusting life style and diet you can protect your future health.

Alternative & Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Tuition

Full 200 Hour Program:

$2500 or payments of $100 each week for the 25 weeks of the course.

Students who complete the 200 hour certification program will receive individual certificates for each course included as well as the overall Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certificate.  Students who do not complete the entire program will receive no certificates for any of the individual courses unless and until they have paid the higher tuition for the courses if taken individually.  Students must complete the entire 200 hour program in order to obtain the Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certificate unless they receive WRITTEN waivers from attending any specific training for which the student already holds a certification through The Southern California College of Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare or another school approved at the discretion of the course instructor.

Refund & Absence Policy:

All tuition paid is non-refundable after the start of the first class for that training.  No refunds in part or in whole will be offered if requested on or after the first day of the first class of the course in which the student is enrolled.  Registration and tuition will be completely refunded if a scheduled course is cancelled for any reason by The Southern California College of Energy Healing.  If students miss any classes, they can still get the certification if the number of hours missed is less than 20 or by making up the classes the next time that subject is offered.  Arriving late by more than 15 minutes either at the start of class or after a meal break count as 1 hour missed or the actual time missed, whichever is greater.

Students who wish to repeat any days they miss at the next scheduled training may do so for a cost of $250/day of training in full day increments only (for full day offerings) or for $40/hour (3 hour minimum) for less than full day classes. The same absence rules apply for arriving late.  Make-up classes must be prepaid, and there are no refunds for missed make-up classes.
